Hiking Trails
Walk to your heart’s content! Beatenberg has over 200 km of mountain and forest hiking paths. There’s something for everyone: lengthy routes along lonely paths will take high-stamina walkers through untouched nature, while anyone looking for a shorter, gentler experience will find plenty of short-cuts leading back to the village.

From the Niederhorn to the village - “The Classic”

The route from the Niederhorn back to Beatenberg is our most classic walk. Take the Niederhorn cable car to the peak of the Niederhorn before setting off back to the valley on the well-maintained walking path. There are plenty of picnic and campfire sites on the way. A downhill walking experience for young and old.
Rating: easy walk, downhill, no special requirements
