Night-time sledging: every Friday- and Saturday-evening from 22 December 2017 until 10 March 2018. When it is dark out, the funiculars will conveniently take you up to the Niederhorn either from the Beatenbucht or from Beatenberg. After 6:15 PM, you can sledge from the Niederhorn down to the Vorsass as often as you like. After 7:00 PM, the cable car travels from the Vorsass to the Niederhorn every 15 minutes.
Those that prefer to start a bit more leisurely can simply book the offer "Sternenschlitteln PLUS" (night sledging PLUS) with a great fondue in the Berghaus Niederhorn. The modern dining room is decorated with sheepskins and a great view of the Berner Oberland landscape and invites you to linger. Afterwards, you can sledge towards the lights of the middle station Vorsass for 30 minutes. To round off this multifaceted evening, mulled wine or punch are served to you in the Bärgrestaurant Vorsass.
From 22nd December 2018 until 09th March 2018 a guide will accompany you every Friday- and Saturday-evening on an approximately 2-hour snowshoe tour. A short break with mulled wine is included. Afterwards, you are served a delicious fondue in the Bärgrestaurant Vorsass barn. Information is available at the Niederhornbahn, the Bärgrestaurant Vorsass and at the Beatenberg tourism office.
Llamas belong to the family of camels (called New World Camelids). They were domesticated about 5000 years ago on the high plains of Peru and are thus among the oldest pets in the world. Walk together with the charming llama ladies through the landscape of Beatenberg. Your guide will love to tell you interesting stories and information about the llamas and the beautiful scenery. This customizable tour with the llamas is a great excursion for young and old. Llamas are intelligent, curious, calm, lovable-just extraordinary.
